In Japan anime is like the soap oprea’s we have here in America. People take there anime much more seriously in Japan then we take our cartoons here in America. (( In my opinion! )) There are whole stores dedicated to anime manga and various anime shops dedicated to selling anime dvd’s and anime mangas.
Anime is better….
Japanese anime in my opinion is also better animated than most American cartoons. Japanese animation has always seemed to be alittle bit more upscale in the animation department, and only being rivaled by disney animation. (( Of course this is just my opinion on Japanese animation. Don’t take anything I say on this site to seriously. =)
Anime for everyone!
Japanese anime has something for everyone by the way! Its not just all about action beat’em type shows like Dragonball Z. Some anime’s have romance and great story plots like Ah! My Goddess! Some anime’s are more humorous than others like Gintama. So don’t write off animes because they are cartoons! Whoever you are there is an anime that fits you. Just like a show.
